Please share some memorable moments from your career.
Over the last five-plus years, I have stopped over 100 illegal evictions, including the eviction of almost 100 people from a trailer park that was featured on Fox 26 news here in Houston: https://www.fox26houston.com/news/residents-left-homeless-after-evicted-from-trailer-park-in-nw-harris-county. My wife, Doshia Patterson, and I were able to stop the eviction and relocate ALL the residents to safer living conditions because, while the eviction was illegal, the trailer park was literally a toxic waste site unfit for human habitation. I am still fighting to have it put on the list of polluted areas within our city that need immediate remediation and will file suit if necessary to keep our neighbors and groundwater supply safe. I have kept over 300 veterans and elderly Texans in their homes and helped them obtain loan modifications that made it financially possible for them to keep their homes. I have helped many veterans, unaware of the services offered to them, obtain help, including disability payments they did not know they were entitled to, for issues they are still dealing with from years of fighting foreign wars to keep all of us safe. As a former soldier, I will leave no Texan behind, and I will fight homelessness wherever I see it. In one of the richest states in the richest country, no veteran or elderly person should face homelessness without someone to help them.
What are your hobbies?
Born and Raised a Diehard Houston Astros Fan and LOVE Baseball! Walt Whitman once said, “I see great things in baseball. It’s our game, the American game. It will repair our losses and be a blessing to us. Baseball is the hurrah game of the republic! That’s beautiful: the hurrah game! well—it’s our game: that’s the chief fact in connection with it: America’s game: has the snap, go, fling, of the American atmosphere—belongs as much to our institutions, fits into them as significantly, as our constitutions, laws: is just as important in the sum total of our historic life.”

I served as a Platoon Commander of a team of Mobile COVID vaccinators during the COVID-19 mission in 2021 and later as the Executive Officer of the 2nd Battalion Task Force COVAX, which vaccinated over one million Texans and, according to CDC statistics, saved hundreds of lives.
Why did you join the College?
I joined to utilize the resources and networking opportunities offered by the College in order to better assist Texans in need. ♦
