The Endowment Fund was established in 2005 to support educational projects that help improve the lives and practices of all Texas attorneys so that they may better serve their clients. Funding Educational Opportunities – Bridging the Gap in Texas Legal Communities

Subsidy Grants for Local Bar Associations
and Pro Bono Organizations

The College provides grants to local and specialty bar associations and pro bono organizations that have limited resources, to help bring quality CLE activities to their area. Learn more.
Legal Education Programs for
Texas Teachers and Students
The College provides funding for the Oyez, Oyez, Oh Yay! education project to ensure Texas students and teachers have the resources they need to fully explore the important role of the judicial system in our country and state. Learn more.
Educational Opportunities for
Legal Aid Program Attorneys

The College provides scholarships to Legal Aid Program attorneys to attend live CLE courses. By attending live courses, these attorneys are the first to learn of vital developments and changes in their practice area and are inspired and motivated from connecting with judges, fellow attorneys, and other professionals.
Legal Education in the
Wake of a Disaster

The College funds timely education programs for Texas lawyers whose clients are attempting to manage the impacts of these devastating circumstances.

Special Projects

Funding Substance Abuse and Mental
Health Recovery of Texas Lawyers
An endowment gift makes a lasting difference. The College has funded projects that provide direct support for substance abuse and mental health recovery needs of Texas lawyers.
Disaster Relief Funding for
Legal Services Offices

The College provided much needed funding to help rebuild so that survivors could receive vital legal services during a critical time. Learn more.

Contribution Levels

After five continuous years of College membership, a lawyer becomes eligible to join the Fund. A College member may join the Fund as a Friend of the Fund immediately upon joining the College.

Endowment Fund Scholar
The Scholar commits to at least a $1,000 contribution, which may be paid out at $200 per year.

Honored Endowment Fund Scholar
The Scholar has reached the $1,000 contribution level.

Friends of the Endowment Fund
Contributors, who otherwise do not qualify to join the Fund, commit to at least a $1,000 contribution, which may be paid out at $200 per year.

Honored Friends of the Endowment Fund
Contributors, who otherwise do not qualify to join the Fund, that have reached the $1,000 contribution level.

As a grant-funding organization and non-profit corporation, the College is a 501(c)(3) organization under the Internal Revenue Code. Membership dues and contributions to the Endowment Fund are tax-deductible.
